Maintenance Programme – Electrical Distribution Board

Concise Statement

The distribution board is inspected periodically by a competent electrically qualified person to ensure the equipment remains safe, secure and in good operating condition.

The enclosure checked to confirm it is free from damage, securely fixed, and that access doors and locking mechanisms operate correctly.

Circuit identification labels and warning notices maintained in a clear and legible condition to ensure safe identification of outgoing circuits.

The area surrounding the distribution board remain unobstructed to maintain safe working access and adequate ventilation.

Protective devices including MCBs, RCBOs and RCDs are checked periodically to confirm correct operation. Where fitted, RCD test buttons operated to verify tripping functionality.

Electrical connections and terminations inspected at appropriate intervals as part of periodic electrical inspection and testing to confirm that connections remain secure and free from signs of overheating or deterioration.

The interior of the enclosure remains clean and dry, with any accumulation of dust or debris removed following safe electrical isolation procedures.

Any defective protective devices or damaged components replaced with identical manufacturer-approved parts to maintain system integrity.

All maintenance inspections, tests and corrective actions recorded in the building maintenance logbook or electrical test records.

"Ride the train, I'm far from home

In a season of crime none need atone

I kissed your face

Pushed you down beneath the weeds

Endless faith in hopeless deeds

I kissed you face, I touched your face -  GoodBye "
